To mark the launch of Kinder Ice Cream in the UK, Hot Pickle were tasked with creating an engaging product reveal moment which would attract attention and get as many Kinder Ice creams into the hands of consumers as possible.

The concept centred around creating a multi-sensory experience evoking thoughts of ice cream and the Kinder brand. Consumers smelt chocolate, touched a cold wall and watched films prompting memories of summer in anticipation of the new product.

I played a role in the design process from beginning to end; my responsibilities included brainstorming ideas for the concept and structure, art directing the creation of video content and designing all graphics and marketing collateral.
Each side of the box was a clue to help passers-by to anticipate the arrival of Kinder Ice Cream.

1.  Touch a cold wall
2. See a motion graphics animation of UGC - image of people enjoying ice-cream
3. Hear and watch a video and soundscape to evoke memories of Summer
4. Smell kinder chocolate
After much anticipation and guessing, the countdown lock reached 0:00 and the box was pulled open to reveal the new products and freezers for sampling.
Flat elevations and design for the inside of the Kinder Box.
Animation mood-boards and animation
This video is what viewers could see through the look-holes of the box. Art directed by me, animated by Christina Mankellow.
